Does the Sandos caracol eco resort have elevators?

Sandos Caracol does not have elevators in its buildings. This is important to keep in mind if you are traveling with elderly guests, people with mobility challenges, or young children.
To make your stay more comfortable and accessible, it’s a good idea to request a ground-floor room. Contact the reception team ahead of time and let them know what you need.
This helps the staff find the best available room for you.Taking this step can really improve your comfort and experience. This brings us to the next important question:
Is Sandos Caracol wheelchair accessible?

The resort has ramps in main areas such as the lobbies, buffet restaurants, and the theater.
However, Sandos Caracol is a large property set in a natural jungle, so some secondary paths and beach areas have uneven ground or sand, which can be challenging for manual wheelchairs.
Tips for Getting Around
Wheelchairs: The hotel has a small number of wheelchairs available for guests, but they are limited and may not always be available.
Electric Scooter Rentals: Since the resort covers a large area, we suggest that guests with disabilities or limited mobility rent an electric scooter. You can request this service at the Concierge desk.
Additional Cost: Motorized scooters are provided by an outside company for an extra fee. This service is not included in your all-inclusive rate.
Picking the right room matters as much as figuring out how to get around. Because the resort covers a large area, where you stay will decide how close you are to the main attractions, the water park, or the beach.
Here’s a quick look at the three main types of rooms, so you can pick the best spot for your jungle adventure.
Does Sandos Caracol have a water park?

Sandos Caracol Eco Resort has a large water park on site, and access is included with your stay.
The water park offers activities for all ages, including 29 slides set among beautiful jungle scenery.
With an All-Inclusive stay, you have full access to the water park, regardless of your wristband. The park is split into three areas to keep everything safe and fun.
Each area has its own level of adventure and is always watched by trained lifeguards. Here’s what you can expect in each section.
The Small Kids Area

The Small Kids Area is designed for our youngest guests, giving them a gentle and fun way to enjoy water play.
This area has a safe, shallow splash pad with colorful animals like turtles and dolphins that spray water, making the space feel magical and fun.
There are several gentle water features and mini-slides, creating a perfect place for toddlers and young children to play safely while their parents watch nearby.
Medium Sized Water Slides

As kids grow and look for more excitement, they naturally move on to the Medium-Sized Water Slides.
This area features 12 slides with more twists, turns, and splashes than the toddler section, making it perfect for children ready for a bit more adventure.
The main attraction is the famous giant tipping bucket, which slowly fills with water before dumping a huge cascade over everyone waiting below.
Most of the attractions in this area are designed for children between approximately 1.10 and 1.30 meters (3 ft 7 in to 4 ft 3 in) tall or shorter, making it an ideal next step before they can access the resort's largest water slides.
The Big Slides

If you're looking for an adrenaline rush, head to the Big Slides section, home to the water park's most thrilling attractions.
This area features seven high-speed slides with steep drops, sharp turns, and long enclosed tunnels designed to deliver plenty of excitement.
For safety, riders must be at least 1.30 meters (4 ft 3 in) tall to use these slides, making them ideal for older kids, teens, and adults.
If fast-paced water rides are your thing, this is the place to experience the park's biggest thrills.
Important Rules & Safety Guidelines
Smoking and alcoholic beverages are not permitted anywhere inside the water park.
For safety, please do not bring cameras or cell phones on the slides or into the water. You can use them in the poolside areas to take photos.
Lifeguards are always present, but children under 12 must stay with an adult at all times.
Hours of Operation
Water Park: Open Wednesday to Monday | Closed Tuesdays for maintenance
Small Kids Area: Daily from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Medium & Big Slides: Daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Our Ecological Commitment
At Sandos Eco Resort Water Park, we care about the environment and built the park with respect for the land.
We did not cut down any trees or harm the local environment when building the park.
Does Sandos Caracol have beach access?

Yes, Sandos Caracol offers direct access to the beach, but it’s good to know what to expect. This beach isn’t the usual manicured stretch; instead, it’s a wild, natural coastline that’s part of a protected ecosystem.
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Nature at its Best: The shoreline has natural rock formations and coral, making it a great spot for marine life. You’ll often see schools of small fish feeding right at the water’s edge.
Perfect for Snorkeling: Thanks to the rocky areas, this is one of the few resorts where you can enjoy great snorkeling just by walking into the ocean.
Wear Water Shoes: To avoid slipping or stubbing your toes on the rocks, it’s a good idea to wear water shoes. They’re almost essential for a comfortable experience.
If you dream of a wide stretch of powdery white sand and turquoise water without rocks, you’re in luck.
As a guest at Sandos Caracol, you get free day-pass access to our sister property, Sandos Playacar, which is on one of the world’s most beautiful beaches.
How many pools are at Sandos Caracol?

Sandos Caracol has three main swimming pools, plus special club areas and natural water features. Which pools you can use depends on your room type and wristband, so your stay feels more personal.
Below is a detailed overview of each pool area, including its atmosphere, features, and who will enjoy it most. This will help you pick the best place to relax or have fun.
Main Pool

Located in the heart of the resort just steps from the beach, this is one of the busiest and most popular pool areas, where guests naturally gather throughout the day.
Here, you'll find the entertainment team, live music, and the famous swim-up bar, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere.
It's a great place to enjoy a cocktail while relaxing just a few steps from the turquoise Caribbean Sea. Keep in mind that, because of its central location and activities, this pool is usually quite busy, especially during peak hours.
Tortuga Pool

Many guests consider the Tortuga Pool the resort's "chill-out" area, offering a peaceful escape surrounded by nature.
Tucked away among lush tropical vegetation, it has a much quieter atmosphere than the main pool, with no loud music or organized activities.
While it can still get fairly busy during the day, it is generally much less crowded than the resort's main pool, making it an excellent choice for guests looking to relax.
It's the perfect place to take a nap, read a book, or simply unwind while listening to the sounds of the jungle.
Select Club Pool ( Adults Only )

Reserved exclusively for guests with a Gold wristband, this pool offers a more refined, boutique-style atmosphere.
With premium loungers, a dedicated bar, and a peaceful adults-only environment, it's the perfect place to unwind away from the resort's busier areas.
If you prefer to avoid crowds and the noise of children playing, this is easily the best pool at the resort for a quiet, relaxing day.
Select Club Jacuzzi

This spot is right beside the Select Club pool and is a great place to unwind with a soothing soak after a day out. It offers adults an added touch of comfort for complete relaxation.
Royal Elite Beach Club (Infinity Pool)

This pool is reserved just for Royal Elite members with a Black wristband, and it might be the most photogenic place in the whole resort.
It is the only infinity pool here, creating a smooth visual flow from the fresh water right out to the ocean waves.
Does Sandos Caracol have real cenotes where you can swim?

Sandos Caracol features several natural cenotes on the property where guests can enjoy swimming and snorkeling.
The most popular cenote, Cenote Cristalino, is located right in front of the main lobby.
It’s a beautiful place to swim and is also a favorite spot for eco-weddings and traditional Mayan ceremonies.
To protect the environment, swimming and snorkeling here are only allowed during guided group sessions, which last about 30 minutes.
The resort provides all the snorkeling gear and life jackets you need.
If you’d like to explore on your own, you’ll find another beautiful cenote just past a tunnel beneath the hanging bridge.
Here, you can swim at your own pace, surrounded by the quiet, lush jungle. It’s a special place and a memorable experience.
Eco-Rule: To help protect these ancient water systems, please shower before entering and avoid using sunscreen, lotions, or insect repellents.
All Nature Experience: The Heart of the Eco Resort

Welcome to the All Nature Experience, where the jungle, water, and ancient Mayan culture come together.
This is more than a list of activities. It’s your chance to reconnect with nature, discover hidden cenotes, and enjoy outdoor adventures you’ll never forget.
Here’s what you can look forward to during your stay:
Eco Tour: Join a guided walk along jungle trails and through mangroves. You’ll spot local wildlife and hear stories about Mayan legends.
Bike Tour: Take a scenic ride along lush jungle paths and beside beautiful cenotes.
Jade River Adventure: Swim in a crystal-clear river surrounded by mangroves. This is one of our signature experiences.
Sensory Experience: Try a blindfolded jungle walk that awakens your senses and brings you closer to nature.

Together, these experiences create a unique journey that connects you with nature, culture, and adventure — all in one unforgettable stay.
Depending on water conditions, the cenotes may be temporarily closed to allow them to recover and be cleaned. This is often necessary because many guests do not follow the guidelines and enter the water while wearing sunscreen or mosquito repellent, which can harm these fragile ecosystems.

Every night offers something different, from cultural ceremonies and tribute shows to performances the whole family can enjoy.
Whatever your interests, our evening shows create lasting memories for everyone in a magical setting.
SACRED FIRE CEREMONY

If you have time for just one cultural show while you’re here, choose the Sacred Fire Ceremony.
Unlike the usual hotel performances, this event is a moving tribute to ancient traditions, held outdoors at Plaza del Sol beneath the night sky.
The show blends fire dancing, rhythmic drumming, and traditional costumes as performers bring a Mayan legend to life, sharing the story of how life began and why the elements matter.
The flames flicker against the jungle, creating a magical setting that feels true to the spirit of the Riviera Maya.
When: Mondays at 9:00 PM.
Where: Plaza del Sol (Main outdoor plaza).
Vibe: Cultural, mystical, and family-friendly.
RED QUEEN CEREMONY

Every Tuesday night, the resort’s theater takes you back in time with the Red Queen Ceremony.
This show is inspired by one of the Mayan world’s greatest archaeological mysteries: the discovery of the "Reina Roja" in Palenque.
This is more than a play—it’s a visual masterpiece. Dancers in detailed pre-Hispanic costumes bring to life the story of a powerful woman whose tomb was hidden for centuries, covered in blood-red cinnabar.
The show blends history and legend, leaving you curious about the secrets still hidden in the Mexican jungle.
When: Tuesdays at 9:00 PM.
Where: The Theater.
Vibe: Dramatic, educational, and visually stunning.
WHITE PARTY

If you want that classic Caribbean vacation feeling, Tuesday is the night to go out.
The White Party at the Beach Club is the week’s main event, bringing the resort’s energy from the jungle right to the ocean’s edge.
Picture yourself dancing on the sand, feeling the Caribbean breeze and seeing everyone dressed in white under colorful lights.
The event is lively and stylish, making it fun for adults and special for kids. With the moon shining on the water and a drink in hand, this is where those "unforgettable vacation memories" really happen.

Where: The Beach Club.
Vibe: Chic, energetic, and celebratory.
Dress Code: White
MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE

Every Wednesday night at Sandos Caracol is filled with nostalgia and lively entertainment.
The Michael Jackson Tribute is a crowd favorite, bringing the King of Pop’s music and dance moves to life in the heart of the Riviera Maya.
This is more than just a tribute. It’s a full-scale show with a talented impersonator who nails the moonwalk, the choreography, and the classic outfits.
From the spooky energy of "Thriller" to the upbeat rhythm of "Billie Jean," the dancers and lighting effects turn the theater into a concert-like experience that keeps everyone on their feet.
When: Wednesdays at 9:00 PM.
Where: The Theater.
Vibe: High-energy, professional, and exciting.
SACRED CENOTE

Every Thursday night, Sandos Caracol puts on its most popular event, the Sacred Cenote show.
Rather than taking place in a regular theater, the performance unfolds beside the resort’s Cenote Cristalino, where the jungle and ancient rocks become the stage.
The show brings a Mayan legend to life with ancestral music, dramatic storytelling, and dancers who move through the water and jungle.
At night, fire and lights reflect on the clear water, creating a beautiful scene that honors the Maya’s spiritual bond with these natural sinkholes.
When: Thursdays at 9:00 PM.
Where: Cenote Cristalino (Main Cenote).
Vibe: Mystical, spiritual, and visually unforgettable.
MAGIC TOWN

Every Friday night, Sandos Caracol hosts Magic Town. Rather than a typical stage show, the celebration takes over Avenida Balam and turns the heart of the resort into a vibrant Mexican village full of color, excitement, and tradition.
This special night lets you experience the real "feria" atmosphere. Stroll down the walkway, try classic Mexican fair games, and listen to live music that keeps everyone energized.
The scents of local snacks and the sound of laughter make it a perfect evening for anyone who wants to enjoy the true spirit of Mexico without leaving the resort.
When: Fridays at 7:00 PM.
Where: Avenida Balam (Main walkway).
Vibe: Festive, interactive, and culturally rich.
COCO/BEAUTY & BEAST SHOW

Saturday nights at the Theater are filled with movie magic. This show features favorite musical hits from two classic stories that people everywhere love.
This lively and colorful show celebrates Mexican traditions through Coco, then moves into the classic charm of Beauty and the Beast.
The cast wears bright costumes and performs live dances, recreating famous scenes and helping the audience feel involved in the story.
It’s a fun way to end the week and enjoy a show that everyone can appreciate.
When: Saturdays at 9:00 PM.
Where: The Theater.
Vibe: Magical, family-oriented, and heartwarming.
Pirate Circus

Sunday nights at Sandos Caracol are packed with excitement and family fun.
The Pirate Circus takes the stage to share a swashbuckling story, but there’s a twist.
Instead of relying on dialogue, the show uses amazing stunts and comedy to bring the adventure to life.
The show mixes the mystery of pirate legends with the excitement of professional acrobatics.
Performers show off their balance, strength, and agility in a fun story that keeps both kids and adults entertained.
With lots of laughs and impressive moments, it’s a great way to end your vacation’s entertainment lineup.
When: Sundays at 9:00 PM.
Where: The Theater.
Vibe: Adventurous, funny, and high-energy.
Ready for your Sandos Caracol Adventure?

Sandos Caracol isn’t just an all-inclusive resort. It’s a place where you can step away from daily life and get closer to nature.
You might find yourself racing down the slides at the Aqua Park, snorkeling in the clear waters of Cenote Cristalino, or quietly watching a spider monkey from your balcony.
This eco-resort gives you an experience you’ll remember long after your trip ends.
Final Expert Checklist:
To help make your trip as easy as possible, here is my final local insider advice:
Bring biodegradable bug spray. Because you’ll be in the jungle, mosquitoes are common. An eco-friendly repellent will help you stay comfortable during walks and outdoor night shows.
Download the Sandos App as soon as you check in. You’ll need it to book your Teppanyaki dinner and spa sessions.
Pack water shoes. Your feet will thank you when you explore the natural beach and cenotes.
Use eco-friendly sunscreen. By choosing biodegradable products or UV-protection clothing, you help protect the animals and reefs.
Get a day pass to Playacar. You can visit our sister resort and enjoy a beautiful white sand beach.
We can’t wait to welcome you to Sandos Caracol Eco Resort. If you have any questions or want to see live tours of our facilities, cenotes, or jungle trails, check out our official YouTube channel.
